Goodbye Daddy Kelly

Image
Sadness has struck again with the death of Wayne Kelly's dad of a broken heart. My mum was told that by her sister Mary Flanagan who heard in town. I was told by mum this sad news and not to bring it up in school in case the whole school goes into mourning again. He lost the will to live and so his heart stopped. To those who are upset about the deaths, there are helplines and support out there for thousands of people who are losing  the will to live. My condolences to the Kellys and the Moores. I also apoligise if this upset-ed you, you're not alone as I was devastated when a teacher from the school went to work somewhere else. Rest in Peace Mr Kelly..

Rik Mayall and Freddie Mercury recreated

Image
What if the late Rik Mayall and the late Freddie Mercury were recreated as children inspired by The Beano's Rodger the Dodger (1953) and Billy Whizz (1964) as Louden the Yeller and Freddie Zoom? Well recreated Rik Mayall would probably look like this: Louden the Yeller While recreated Freddie Mercury would probably look like this: Freddie Zoom Cool eh? With kid health and antics! Josh the Menace While his menacing ginger here is just inspired by the Beano's Dennis the Menace (1951). The trio would be in a comic called The Gailo (gail-low).

Dead on Back to the Future day - Marty Ingles

Image
On Back to the Future Day, 60s legend, Marty Ingles passed away. Oh gosh, he died of a stroke and was the wife of Shirley Jones. Why did he die on Back to the Future Day? It's just like when Farrah Fawcett died on the same day as Michael Jackson or when Steve Irwin died on Edhuard Khil's birthday. If you watched the Hanna-Barbera Pac-Man series, you would know which character Marty played. Now, I never knew Marty in media before he died but I remember the intro to the series. He was survived by his widow Shirley Jones.

Student Funeral: Revised

I have gathered some information about the late Wayne Kelly since my Student Funeral 1 post.  Funeral Sources Wayne was born premature and fought meningitis, he was always smiling and was cousin of Jamie Moore who commited suicide in July 2015. He loved music, basketball, lighters and chocolate. His favourite song before passing was Photograph by Ed Sheeran in which was played at the funeral by a friend on the guitar, causing the mates to sobs softly. His coffin was carried to the church and graveyard by a horse drawn hearse while the floral tributes were carried in a modern hearse. Some student of Scoil Christ Rí and Christian Brothers attended the funeral, including my old primary school friend, Holly-Rose Milist who consoled a boy she was with at the funeral.  Cara Harding's Sources My friend, Cara Harding (11, born in 2004) has a friend who lives near to Wayne's family and Cara, herself knows about the suicide. Wayne climbed over the gate into St Paul's, went i...

Student Funeral

This week, Portlaoise College lost a student who was taken too soon, Wayne Kelly. He was taken before his Junior Cert that will occur in June 2016 and I just feel puzzled. Evett says that he was walking while sick and when a man found him he died. My French teacher Ms Duggan was devastated on Monday. It was announced to the staff at 9:15AM on 28th September 2015 before being announced to students in a letter. 2015 is not a good year for Portlaoise College because of deaths of John McName and Jamie Moore. The school had a minute in silence in the last class of Wednesday, 30th September 2015 as a tribute to Wayne and tomorrow all 2nd level students will have no school. Students who want to attend the funeral can ask their parents to come with them and must wear their full school uniform to represent the school. Wayne will be buried in St Peter and Paul's Cemetery, Portlaoise after 10AM mass and 9.30 removal. He will be missed

Thank you Claude Debussy

Image
Today 22nd August 2015, is Debussy's birthday. I see him as another dad after I found out that I was named after his most famous piece "Clair De Lune". It makes me want to visit his grave the next time I visit Paris along with find Bruno Bianchi. Debussy is in a different cemetery in Paris. According to Wikipedia, he was only in Pere Lachaise for 2 years before being exhumed and moved to Passy Cemetery. Clair De Lune translates to Moonlight in French and Claire translates to bright in French. My dad decided this by saying, that he wanted me "to have a name of my own" since most of my ancestors had the same name (Patrick). HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEBUSSY! THANK YOU FOR CREATING THAT LOVELY PIECE I WAS NAMED AFTER.

Ava the flying girl

Image
When you walk away I count the steps that you take Do you see how much I need you right now? - When you're gone by Avril Lavigne (2007) A little butterfly flower pot decoration at her grave. Yesterday, 10th May 2015, 9 years ago, my mum Geraldine Scully (née Flanagan) gave birth to my premature sister Ava Scully. 8 days later Ava past away in her and my birthplace, the Coombe hospital, Dublin, Ireland. I was told about Ava on the day of the funeral. She was so mysterious to me since I never saw her alive. If she was alive today, we would've had a birthday party for her, with the neighnours in the house and this post would've never existed. It was on either 19th May-20th May 2006 when the Scullys drove to Dublin on a mild cloudy day. i was confused, Was mum sick again? We parked in the hospital and went into a stone house where I saw her in a white baby coffin. The coffin was embroiled on the walls and lid by flowers and it was shoe box shaped. There was relaxin...
